This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. Let these remind you to be brave & step out into the waves. You are bound for greatness! Don’t let fear stop you from achieving the calling that God has placed on your life. Why does fear continue to hold us in when Jesus wants us to know that He’s got our backs?! He wants us to trust Him enough to take the leap of faith He’s calling us into. I’m afraid the answer will be something I feel I can’t step up to, but I’m resting in the fact that He’s called me out beyond the shore into the waves for a reason. I’m dealing with trusting Jesus to clearly tell me what my next step is. Listen to the song “ You Make Me Brave” by Bethel Music. The lyrics of this song (especially the second verse and the bridge) are words I try live by when I’m scared to step into something I feel God has called me into. These are words I’m trying to live by in this current season of uncertainty. You call me out beyond the shore into the waves.” This is something I am desperately trying to remind myself as I listen to what Jesus wants me to do about the opportunities He’s presenting in my life. Taking that leap of faith is a lot easier said than done but it is worth it. WE HAVE TO LET GO OF FEAR, AND LET GOD WORK IN OUR LIVES. I constantly deal with the fear of failing and that keeps me from stepping into something great that God has planned for my life, but every time I have “ let go & let God“, the end result has been greater than I could’ve imagined. I battle with this a lot more than I’d like to admit. He has it all under control, are we gonna trust Him to do what He says though? I know it’s scary to jump into the unknown, I get that, but I don’t believe Jesus would tell us to move if He didn’t already have a plan worked out for our good. When we hear Him speak to our potential our initial response shouldn’t be to cower and run away, it should be to stand up & step forward. Jesus promises us a prosperous life in Him.

Just a leap of faith & putting full hearted trust in Jesus to keep his promise in Jeremiah 29:11 (“…plans for good, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”). You see, as of lately I’ve just been realizing that I AM destined to be a part of something great, but how would I know what it is? Most of the time, I’m just too scared to take a leap of faith and go and do what (or where) Jesus is calling me to. These thoughts have been circulating in my head a lot as of lately and I’ve just pushed them aside, but the conversation I had with my sister and our friend just bought those thoughts back into my head and they sat there.

Have you ever just felt like you were called to do greater things? Like, you know you are absolutely capable of doing something great but you just aren’t sure how to do it or where to start? Are you ever just afraid to take that next step to reach your full potential? It got me thinking “what’s keeping me from taking this step and seizing this opportunity?” For me, I realized it was fear of failure. During this conversation we started talking about opportunities that have been popping up in our lives and questioning what we should do about them (apart from the obvious “pray about it.” Trust me.
